Yves Klein, la révolution bleue – A film by François Lévy-Kuentz
(2006 – 52’- FR)

Egocentric, narcissist, insufferable, irresistible Yves Klein… In less than ten years, the artist imposed impossibility to the art world using his motto “Why not? “. He produces audacious monochrome paintings, invents a colour, borrows women’s bodies to use as paintbrushes, sells pieces of immaterial pictorial sensitiveness and plays with fire… Using filmed archives, artworks and inserting moments of fiction, François Lévy-Kuentz compiles a fascinating saga. Choosing to tell the story in the first person, he takes us into the astonishing and moving intimacy of a legend, shedding light on the path of an exceptional artistic adventure.

In partnership with the Centre du Film sur l’Art.
