Through this documentary, Chantal Akerman (a major figure in the film industry) unveils her artistic and intimate memories, her aesthetic – and often radical – choices that owed her insults and esteem. From her native Brussels to the city where she lived, Paris, from New-York, the city of film and of learning, to Tel Aviv, a city anchored in the past of her family, the film approaches exile and liberation, multiplying the reading keys of a fascinating and indispensable oeuvre.
