Le Fond de l’Air est Rouge is a documentary in which the story is told of The New Left, from the emergence as a by-product of the Vietnam War to the expulsion of Salvador Allende from Chile in 1973. Marker combines anonymous news images, dating back to the Russian Revolution, with original material of his own about people who revolt against political injustice in various places around the world.
