Olga de Soto moves her latest creation, Mirage, from the stage to the exhibition space, where she presents a whole made up in two fases with on the one hand performances, interventions, and actions, and on the other hand, fragments from the show, composed in a dialogue with the works of Sophie Whettnall shown in her exhibit: La banquise, la forêt et les étoiles.
The idea of a displaced image taking shape in the air is at the root of Mirage, a creation by Olga de Soto, whose plastic work was conceived in collaboration with Sophie Whettnall. The choreographer reinvests the body and explores various modes of possible presences where the body, dance and action dialogue with the invisible. Olga re-engages with her body and plastic work, designing a piece that can be moved from the stage to the exhibition space. In this work on displacement, Olga de Soto confronts her work to the body and her plastic universe to Sophie Whettnall’s plastic universe, filled with resonances and gateways.
