About the artist:

Olivier Goka is a Belgian artist, living in Brussels, who specialises in creating original works in recycled plastic. He recuperates, manipulates and assembles all kinds of objects he finds here and there to create a multitude of compositions and characters that are as diverse as they are unusual.
He finds these objects or pieces of plastic on the pavements and in bins at flea markets, others are brought to him by people around him. Everything is sorted and stored in his studio. And when he assembles them, he follows a simple rule: no changes to the original shape or colour of the recovered pieces.
From the beginning, Olivier Goka has collaborated with photographer Bernard Babette, who takes all the photos of his sculptural work.
The sculptures and photographs are shown at exhibitions, including the “Vonpischmeyer Collection”, a fake collection of African masks and sculptures, all made of recycled plastic.
