Artists living in the capital can respond by proposing an IN SITU project for the vitrine, taking into account the urban environment, the pedestrian street, the neighborhood, the inhabitants, and the passers-by.<\/p>\n<p>The vitrine is only visible from the street and the public cannot enter: the selected proposals should take this specific context into account.<\/p>\n<p>The vitrine hyphenates the indoors and the outdoors, the art center and the public space, art and daily life.<\/p>\n<p>Centrale is committed to sustainability and gives preference to artists who, as much as possible, consciously avoid the use of polluting materials or excessive energy consumption.<\/p>\n<p>In short:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>What<\/strong>? Open call for IN SITU projects for Centrale | vitrine<\/li>\n<li><strong>Who<\/strong>?\u00a0Emerging artists, without any age limit, based (with official residency) in Brussels-Capital Region, including collectives or artist-curator duos<\/li>\n<li><strong>Where<\/strong>? 13 rue Sainte-Catherine &#8211; 1000 Brussels<\/li>\n<li><strong>When<\/strong>? 2025-2026 Programme, beginning of the first project 23.01.2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>How<\/strong>? Selection\u00a0of 8 laureates\u00a0by a jury of art professionals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Warning: <\/strong><em>The project you are submitting must be the same as the one<\/em> <em>realized in the vitrine.<\/em> <em>Any major modification that changes the core and form of the original proposal may be declared invalid by Centrale.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Timing\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Deadline for submissions: 30.06.2024 at 23:59<\/li>\n<li>Announcement of the laureates\u00a0: 23.09.2024<\/li>\n<li>Project 1: 23.01.2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/centrale.brussels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Plan-Centrale-vitrine.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Plan of Centrale | vitrine<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>SUPPORT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Centrale offers :<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 The space<br \/>\n\u2013 Exhibition during +- 8 weeks<br \/>\n\u2013 Financial support for the exhibition : fee of 1.800 EUR (charges included) + production costs 1.000 EUR (charges included)<br \/>\n\u2013 The transportation of the works within Belgium<br \/>\n\u2013 Promoting the exhibition within Centrale&#8217;s general communication<br \/>\n\u2013 Producing the exhibition text in three languages for the passers-by<br \/>\n\u2013 Assistance with the installation<br \/>\n\u2013 Professional photographic coverage<br \/>\n\u2013 Organisation of the opening and distribution of electronic invitations<\/p>\n<p><strong>CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 There is no age limit to participate<br \/>\n\u2013 You must be domiciled in Brussels<br \/>\n\u2013 Only COMPLETE applications are valid and must contain the following information in <strong>a single pdf (10 Mo)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Personal details (<a href=\"https:\/\/centrale.brussels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/ID-Fiche-EN-2025.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>download the form<\/u><\/a>) + CV + proof of official residency in the Brussels Region<\/li>\n<li>A general introduction to the work (maximum 1500 characters including spaces)<\/li>\n<li>10 good quality images. References to websites as the only visual source will not be considered<\/li>\n<li>A description and a note of intent on the concept of the envisaged installation (maximum 2500 characters including spaces)<\/li>\n<li>A plan of the intended installation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>PRACTICAL INFORMATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 The space is only visible from the street Rue Sainte-Catherine 13.
